스크립트 전문

Today, I ran into someone I never expected to see.

Jason. He was my coworker at my old job.

We joined the company on the same day and started our work life together.

In the beginning, we knew nothing, so we relied on each other.

We ate ramen together during late nights and listened to each other when things got hard.

We spent three years like that.

But one day last year, Jason suddenly disappeared.

He quit without telling anyone. Without saying a word to me.

I was honestly so hurt.

I understood not telling others, but how could he leave without telling me?

People on our team gossiped about him. They said he was irresponsible and selfish.

I thought the same thing deep down.

Today, I stopped by a cafe near a client's office after a work meeting.

I was about to order coffee, and there was Jason behind the counter, wearing an apron.

Our eyes met. We both froze.

I sat down in that cafe and talked with Jason.

He said he had completely burned out back then.

He was afraid to open his eyes in the morning, and the walk to work felt like hell.

One day, he said, everything just stopped.

So he let go of everything and rested.

He said he was going to contact me once he felt more stable. He said he was sorry.

I could not say anything.

I had been right next to him for three years, but I never noticed he was struggling that much.

I felt so ashamed of myself, and I felt sorry for Jason.

Jason said he is much better now.

He said his close friend owns this cafe and encouraged him to train as a barista.

Jason looked happy and at peace, like he had finally found the right path for himself.

We decided to meet next week and catch up on everything we missed.

I am really looking forward to that day.
